Finally I have a super fine diamond slipstone available in a 1200 grit. It is the same shape as the 600 grit, but with the finer particles. Primarily designed for bench and carving tools, or turners who want a burst of extra sharpness. Size: 5" long, 2" wide and 1/4" thick. This is not the hone shown in the Craft Supplies catalog using my name--which is a flat, one-side plated hone and not a slipstone.
A companion to the 600 grit diamond slipstone. With two different radiused edges, these fit the inside of virtually all woodturning gouges on the market--in order to "slip" the inside flute for a sharp edge. The 280 grit is an aggressive hone for those who would rather hone a dull edge than head to the grinder. Comes with a premium leather sheath.
The first true diamond slipstone on the market. This is the 600 grit stone, designed with the woodturner in mind. Two flat surfaces and two different radii on the long edges provides a single tool for all of your woodturning honing operations. Size: 5" long, 2" wide and 1/4" thick. Made from natural diamond, double nickel plated onto mild steel. Comes with a premium leather sheath. WARNING: This is not the flat, imported, plated one-sided hone that is associated with Alan's name in the Craft Supplies catalog!!!!!
