This was a ground breaking chuck when first introduced, but is still one of the very finest available anywhere. It has a single key to adjust the jaws, a threaded insert that can be changed for different lathes, high-wear metal on parts that ride against each other, serrated jaws for outstanding holding power. This is a serious, heavy chuck for those with heavier lathes, with the chuck weighing in at 8 lbs. The compressing range of the included #2 Jaws is 1 3/4" to 3 1/4" .
