This is a step-up from the Lacer Signature Skews from Hamlet in the M2 high speed Kryo treated steel. This bundle includes the same two sizes of skew ( 1 3/8" and 5/8") but with the added advantage of using the M2 high speed steel subjected to Kryo treating. This is a process that involves taking the steel to approximately -300 degrees F followed by another hot temper. This assists with the completion of conversion of different steel particles. Short and long of it all: it increases the edge holding properties of the tool.
The two dvd's are the Skew Chisel (only technique) and Son of Skew (only projects). The first dvd gives the foundation and practice suggestions, while the companion dvd challenges you to only use a skew chisel to make a number of different projects.
