This is a real sleeper in the field, unknown to many. It's made from Alan's favorite steel (his Uber Skews are made from this) of powdered metal M4 HSS--one of the highest wear steels available. The flutes are very clean and a perfect shape. The overall length is 12.5" and the flute is approximately 7" long.
The rod diameter is 5/8", called a 1/2" gouge in the English system, but called a 5/8" in the North American system.
